In-store service is available on all makes of sewing machines and vacuums.
Sewing machines: Most newer sewing machines are designed to be 'self oiling.' This does not mean, however, that they never need to be serviced. The lint from sewing can dry out this self oiling feature and the oil needs to be replenished. It is recommended that sewing machines be serviced every 12-24 months.
A sewing machine that has not been used in several months or years should be tuned up to get the parts moving freely.
Vacuum FYI: You'll have the most efficient cleaning with an empty bag and
new belt. If your vacuum takes a rubbery type belt, they stretch out easily and should be changed every 3 - 4 months.
